Six selected athletes from Bole in the Savannah region, who were victorious in the just ended maiden edition of the Savannah region Inter-districts cross country competition held in Damongo will join other Athletes selected across Savannah region to form one team known as “Team Savanmah Region” to represent Savannah region in Akim Oda in the Eastern Region of Ghana and compete for Inter Regional Athletic Competition.

Presenting accolades won in Damongo to the GES and DCE of Bole on Monday13th December2021, Madam Veronica Alele Heming congratulated the Athletes and their masters for making Bole proud. She entreated Athletes to continue to train harder for the Inter Regional Competition that will be held at Eastern region on February 2022.

Madam Veronica Alele Heming pledged to buy Athletes spikes, jerseys and other necessary equipments required for Athletes to be able to compete very well in Eastern region.

The Assistant Director In charge of Supervision in the Bole District of the Savannah region, Mr Jamani Bakari, who doubled as the District Presiding Member, thanked Teacher and Athletes for their services, he added that, Teachers were not only seen in classrooms to teach but teachers play several roles outside classrooms,where they educate even parents and develop students to become better.

He added that, on behalf of the Ghana Education Service, they are very happy for the achievement chalked .

It will be recalled that, Bole District was adjudged the overall champions in the first edition of the Savannah Regional inter-district cross country competition organized by the National Sports Authority. Bole places first in the girls category and 4th in the boys category. After the tally, Bole was declared the overall champions.

Six of Bole District athletes made it to the regional team. 4 girls and 2 boys.

Meanwhile, Savannah Region qualified Athletes will be at Akim Oda in the Eastern Region for Inter-Regional Competition in February 2022.
