The United States of America military and their counterparts in Ghana will on 10th December 2022 provide free Medical Screening to the people of Bole.
This was disclosed on Tuesday 22nd November 2022 when the US and Ghana military officers met stakeholders in Bole where they expressed their readiness to provide the free health screening.
Addressing key stakeholders at the Bole District Assembly conference hall, the Flying Officer from the Civil Military Operations and an Instructor at 6BN-Tamale, Camillus Buunaasie said their mission is to provide free medical assistance to the people of Bole and that, the Bole District Assembly should help with community mobilisation, provision of accommodation, provision of chairs and canopies including feeding throughout in the one day activity.
Flying Officer Camillus Buunaasie added that, there is no age limit or boundary to the services they are coming to offer the people of Bole.
According to him all residents in the Bole catchment area are qualified to be screened by their outfit including foreigners.
He also confirmed that their outfit will cater for people without the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) cards, especially for those with sicknesses like Stomach aches and headaches, skin diseases and others.
He further stated that they will not do surgeries and no one will be admitted but where the patients condition becomes critical, their outfit will do referral.
Flying Officer Camillus Buunaasie added that it is open to all political parties and all tribes in the Bole District of the Savannah Region and that there is no age limit or boundary to the services they are coming to offer the people so far as one resides in the Bole catchment area.
Captain Connor Lewis of the USA Army Civil Military Supervision element added that, the USA military always have been helping in maintaining peace and security and are ready to partner the Ghana Army to assist in provision of health delivery to the local communities.
Meanwhile the superintendent Doctor of the Bole District Hospital Dr Alphonsus Nindow said, his staff are ever ready to provide the technical support required of them on the 10th of December 2022.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bole Madam Veronica Alele Heming on behalf of the Assembly assured the joint team of her readiness in assisting to provide health care to her people.
According to her they assembly will provide everything required to help them provide free health delivery to the people Bole including their feeding.
The Martyrs of Uganda health center and the Bole District Hospital have been earmarked as venues for the health delivery and so all stakeholders after the brief programme at the Bole District Assembly went on a tour of the Bole District Hospital and the Martyrs of Uganda Health center to assess the venues earmarked for the exercise on Saturday 10th December 2022.
The joint team are expected to bring medicines worth US$15,000 to the people of Bole.
