The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Yapei-Kusawgu, Hon John Abdulai Jinapor has supported the Ghana Education Service (GES) directorate with an amount of Ten Thousand Ghana cedis (GHc 10,000.00).

According to Hon John Abdulai Jinapor this donation is part of his commitment to ensure the continuous improvement of Education at the Basic level in the constituency.

He said the financial donation among other things would be used to procure fuel for the distribution of exam papers across all examination centres in the constituency and also to ensure effective monitoring and supervision.

The MP used the opportunity to wish all candidates in this year’s BECE examination the very best of luck and encouraged them to remain composed and focused and prayed that, the good Lord will guide them to successful end.

Hon Jinapor also used the opportunity to congratulate Madam Fati Issifu, a teacher of Buipe Girls model JHS, who emerged as the 1st runner up to this years Best Teacher award ceremony held in Tamale.

According him, such great achievement is worth celebrating and behalf of all stakeholders in the constituency.

He expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Madam Fati, her colleague Teachers and the entire GES directorate of Central Gonja District for making them proud.

The District Director of education, Mrs Madam Veronica Tampour Kuupol, thanked the MP for his continuous support to the development of education in the area. She said her directorate could not achieve such remarkable height without the support of various stakeholders in the constituency and that her office will continue to knock on their doors to ensure massive improvement of education in the district.
