Former President John Dramani Mahama has urged Muslims in the country to follow the protocols on the COVID-19 protocols by washing hands and using hand sanitizers. He said we all need to do social distancing and always put on our face masks.

The Former President said the world is confronted with the Coronavirus and as a result Muslims cannot come together to pray.

A message from former President Mahama recorded in the Hausa language said today is a the great day od Eid-ul-Fitr and went on to greet the National Chief Imam Sheik Osman Nuhu Sharabutu, the National Imam of the Al- Suna Shiek Umar Ibrahim, the Head of the Ahmadiyya mission in Ghana Maulvi Bin Salih and the Imam of the Shia Sheik Abubakari Kamaldeen as well all Eminent Muslim Chiefs.

The former President thanked Allah for seeing Muslims through the start to the end of Ramadan successful.

He asked for Allah’s forgiveness and for prayers to see all Muslims through to the next Ramadan.

“May Allah give us good health and also accept our prayers” he concluded.
