The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency of the Savannah Region, Hon. Andrews Dari Chiwitey has donated one Hundred and Forty (140) bags of 50 Kilograms sugar to Chiefs, Imams, Youth and women groups in  his constituency.

The bags of sugar were donated on his behalf by Mr Kpeafaa Stephen, the  District Director of Youth Employment Agency on the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency to the National  Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Chairman of the area, Alhaji Osman Salia for onward distribution.

Ninety two communities are expected to receive a bag of sugar each, ten bags to youth groups, ten bags to women’s groups, fifteen bags to some traditional leaders and Imams across the entire constituency.

Mr Kpeafaa Stephen used the opportunity to appeal to all Muslims to use this period of Ramadan to pray against COVID-19 and also pray for the existing peace and unity in the constituency.

The NDC Chairman for Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency, Alhaji Osman Salia after receiving the items from the MP, equally called on both the Islamic and Christian communities to maintain the peaceful  coexistence in the constituency. He further expressed a heart of gratitude to the MP on behalf of the Muslim Community, party executives and the NDC party .
