Wife of former President John Dramani Mahama and Chief Executive Officer for the Lordina Foundation Mrs Lordina Mahama on 23rd March 2024, donated a cash amount of GHc¢5,000 Ghana cedis and food items to the Management, Staff and Students of Bole Girls model Basic School.

Donating the items on behalf of Mrs Mahama, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bole Bamboi constituency Hon Alhaji Yussif Sulemana explained that the Lordina Foundation after receiving the appeal for support letter didn’t waste much time to mobilize the money and food items for them.

According to the MP, Mrs Lordina Mahama’s commitment towards the development of the girl child in the Bole- Bamboi Constituency is admirable and must be commended.

Hon Alhaji Yussif Sulemana advised the students to remain focused by sharing academic ideas with each other to foster unity among them which will go a long way to help them even when they leave school.

He encouraged the students to take their studies serious because they are the next generation to take over the affairs of the country.

He said; “You have to remain focused so that one day we may get a female president, so don’t disappoint your Parents,guardians family and Friends”.

The donation is not the first time Mrs Lordina Mahama has extended a helping hand to the needy.

Receiving the cash and food items, the representative of the school Madam Gloria expressed her outmost gratitude to Mrs Lordina Mahama for her quick response to their appeal.

She noted that, the staff Management and Students are truely grateful for her generousity at this crucial moment when students find it difficult to get food to eat before their lessons.

Furthermore, Madam Gloria explained that it is extremely difficult at this time of the year, a situation that is affecting the students to the large extend enrollment because parents don’t see the need to continue addressing such challenges.

The Students of Bole Girls Model also thanked Mrs Lordina Mahama and the MP Alhaji Yussif Sulemana for coming to their rescue.

She further stated that the current situation is affecting their studies since it is extremely difficult to study with an empty stomach, and ao the caah and items came at the right time.
