The Member of Parliament (MP) for Damongo and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon Samuel Abu Jinapor has hinted the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of the party’s preparedness to snatch more seats in the Savannah Region.
Addressing delegates and party sympathizers of the party during his popular acclamation over the weekend in Damongo, the Lands and Natural Resources Minister told the party hierarchy including the General Secretary of the party Mr Justin Koduah and some ministers of the Akufo Addo government that the party is more prepared to snatch every seat in the region.
The Dmongo MP further said “God willing 2024 we will we will win Damongo and we will win a number of seats in Savannah Region and you will see that it will come pass”.
He said the Yapei- Kusawgu constituency which is being held by his elder brother is not left out as his brother is already feeling the heat by visiting and frequently making himself in the constituency which will still not save him.
Hon Abu Jinapor mentioned to the cheering crowd of the party that the Daboya- Mankarigu constituency seat with the support and hardwork of the sitting MP Alhaji Asei Seini Mahama, the District Chief Executive (DCE) and the NPP Regional chairman, the seat will surely be retained.
The Bole-Bamboi constituency and the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituencies according to him are all on red alert for the party to win those seats with the Salaga South and North seats fully going to be contested with lots of hardwork.
He thanked the rank and file of the party for their support and pledged his commitment towards breaking the 8.
General Secretary of the party Justin Frimpong Koduah in his remarks
indicated that he is very confident Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor will retain the Damongo seat come 2024 as the MP because he is respectful, humble and supportive and added that the ceremony was beyond acclamation but a launch of the party’s campaign in the Damongo constituency and urged the members of the party to be united always for the success and victory of the party come the 2024 General Elections.
Savannah Regional Chairman of the party Alhaji Sulemana Iddrisu Kalamonia also in a speech prayed for unity in the party and recalled how many indicators in the 2020 election in the region pointed out that the party would not win any seat which he proved them wrong by winning 3 out of 7 seats.
He reminded them that he achieved all that as a result of the unity in the party which he thinks that he will do more if there is unity. He said a divided majority can always be crushed by a united minority hence everyone should join hands for the party to deliver more seats in the Savannah Region come December 2024.
