The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency of the Savannah Region Hon Andrews Chiwitey Dari has recieved Students and Teachers from the Tuna Senior/Technical school to Ghana’s Parliament House on 15th February, 2024.

He explained how he was honoured once again, to receive students and Teachers from Tuna Senior/Technical school.

Hon Andrews Chiwitey Dari said; “The school first visited Parliament in 2018 with my support. This current group consisted of sixty students and three teachers and as part of their visit to parliament, the students had the opportunity to watch parliamentary proceedings from the gallery and they were also briefed by quite a good number of Members of Parliament including Hon Rev. Hellen Adwoa Ntoso, Hon Dorcas Toffey, Hon Lydia Akanvariba, Hon Dr. Rashid Pelpuo, Hon Baffuor Ewuah, Minister for Labour and Employment, Hon Vincent Oppong, Hon Joseph Kumah and many others.

The MP for Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency added that; “Members of Parliament took their turns to talk to them on various topics including career choices, politics, discipline, among others and they were also engaged by the Public Relations Department of Parliament who also took time to walk them through the structure of Parliament, parliamentary leadership, its composition, the role of MPs and many more.
The team was also taken round the job 600 building i.e offices of Members of Parliament and other parliamentary staffs.

He further said; “On my part, I gave them some support, financially and morally, to ensure the success of the trip and I also made the students know that they can make it from Tuna Senior High school because it doesn’t matter the school you attend, but the individual’s determination to make it in life .

Hon Andrews Chiwitey Dari disclosed that; “I completed Bole Senior High but today, I am in parliament with others who attended the best schools in Ghana.
On this note, I wish them a sound stay in Accra and a safe journey back home.

The Spokesperson of the students and their Teacher’s were full of proase for the MP.

A Teacher said, “What amazed us most was how you personally led the students and us to the top floor of the Job 600 (a 12 floor storeybuilding) to catch a view of all the significant edifices around Parliament using the stairs as an MP and you also had time personally to ensure that our students took turns to use and experience the lift in descending to the ground floor.

He aded; “You’ve proven a point yet again.
We can’t thank you enough”
