The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Damongo Constituency Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor has assured the rank and file of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that the Damongo Constituency will become a strong hold of the NPP in the coming years.

Addressing party faithfuls in Damongo over the weekend on the day of the visit of vice president Dr Mahamud Bawumia, Hon. Jinapor indicated that the constituents can testify what he as the MP for the area and the NPP government has done to transform the Constituency.

He mentioned that the Damongo Constituency has seen lots of unprecedented development under the government of the NPP that has transformed the area.

He used the opportunity to ask for forgiveness from the constituents if he had wronged any of them and also appealed for a 100% endorsement to Dr Mahmud Bawumia to lead the party come November 4, 2023.

He described Dr Bawumia as a brother who has proven to be very much prepared to lead the NPP break the 8 following his contribution as vice president of Ghana.

Meanwhile Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has told delegates in the Savannah Region to vote him to break the 8 since he is the only one who can beat former president John Mahama in the general elections.

The NPP has fixed November 4th as the date for the Presidential Primaries which will be conducted in the party’s constituencies across the country with over 200,000 NPP delegates expected to cast their ballots to elect a Presidential Candidate for the 2024 election.
