The Member of Parliament (MP) afor the Damongo Constituency and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Hon Samuel Abu Jinapor has presented food items and some amount of money to flood victims in Busunu who lost valuables including their buildings. The situation rendered many of the victims homeless.

The items were presented by the the office of the MP in Damongo to the victims numbering over 125 including some 15 farmers.

After receiving the support the victims praised the MP for always putting smiles on the faces of his constituents irrespective of their political colours and affiliations.

A victim said, “this makes Lawyer Abu Jinapor different in the political landscape of the Damongo Constituency”.

One of the beneficiaries who spoke to the media described the Damongo MP as God sent who will go very far in politics because he does not discriminate and is always focused on the wellbeing of his people which she sees as the work of God.

Mr Bawa Fuseini, Co-ordinator of the office of the MP for Damongo Constituency on behalf of the MP made the presentation of the relief items including bags of rice and the cash amount to the victims.

Accompanied by some Constituency executives of the NPP in the Damongo Constituency, Mr Fuseini aka Capacity explained that the support is from the MP’s personal outfit whiles they wait for what National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) will bring onboard to support the victims.

Meanwhile, Assembly member for the Busunu electoral area, Hon. Dari Osman Thomas added his voice to thank Hon Jinapor for the quick response and attention he has given to the good people of the Busunu Electoral Area who were affected by the flood by providing the bags of rice including the cash donations to the affected households.

A heavy torrential rainfall which occurred last week and lasted for hours rendered many people in the Busunu homeless with many valuabls lost.
