The 2012 flag bearer of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) and Founder of the National Interest Movement (NIM), Dr Abu Sakara Forster has said tribalism has become more important to the Ghanaian instead of national interest.
Speaking on ‘Ghana Tonight’ on Accra based TV3, Dr Abu Sakara said leadership is not about one person and so all hands irrespective of our political, tribe and religious background shouldn’t see us as enemies.
Contributing to the 2023 Founders Day Celebration on , the 2012 CPP flag bearer said selfishness has over taken the Ghanaian.
He added that the flame of being a Ghanaian is dimmed.
Touching on the democratic system in Ghana, Dr. Abu Saakara was quick to add that the system of democracy in Ghana is not helping and so he called for a review of the 1992 constitution.
He appealed to Ghanaians to stick to democracy in order to work for all citizens.
He also appealed to the youth to have responsibility to move Ghana forward.
Dr Abu Sakara proposed that the future leadership of Ghana should come from the private sector.
