The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Yapei-Kusawgu Constituency of the Savannah Region Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor, has donated over thousand pieces of the mathematical sets to all Basic Education Certificate (BECE) candidates in the Central Gonja district of the Savannah Region.
At a gathering at separate grounds in Buipe the capital of the district, to mak the presentation to the students, the MP together with the Central Gonja District Director of Education advised them to work hard on their books and also pray to meet whatever they study at school in the examination hall.
Speaking to Bole based Nkilgi Fm after the donation of the mathematical sets, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Secretary for thr Yapei-Kusawgu constituency Mr Mahama Fuseini said the MP has been very supportive to education in the constituency.
He added that the saw how excited the students were after the MP donated the mathematical sets to them.
Mr Mahama Fuseini also advised the students to take their education very serious because they are the future leaders of Ghana.
The Central Gonja District Director of Education, Madam Veronica Tampol commended the MP for the kind gesture and also added that she is only lucky to have an MP who is always around to come to the aid of education and education-related activities.
She made a list of activities the MP has come to her rescue including office equipment, conveying of examination materials to examination centers, provision of teachers accommodation.
