The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Damongo Constituency, Hon Samuel Abu Jinapor has wished Muslim pilgrims from his constituency who are embarking on this years pilgrimage to Mecca farewell and asked them to remember his beloved constituency in their prayers.
The Damongo MP who sent a delegation to stand in for him to bid the pilgrims farewell at the Tamale International Airport in a speech delivered on his behalf by the Nasara coordinator of the NPP in the Damongo Constituency, Mr Ussif Nsorwura and a Deputy Organiser of the party Alhaji Fuseini Rambo said Hon Jinapor sent them to wish them a safe trip to and from the holy land of Mecca and asked them to remember the Damongo Constituency in their prayers.
The First batch of 433 prigrims jets off from the Tamale International Airport to Saudi Arabia for Hajj 2023 on 9th June, 2023.
Hajj is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, the holiest city for Muslims.
Hajj is a mandatory religious duty for Muslims that must be carried out at least once in their lifetime by all adult Muslims who are physically and financially capable of undertaking the journey, and of supporting their family during their absence from home.
