The General Manager of Bole based Nkilgi Fm Mahama Haruna has donated two high quality (24×36 inches) photos of the King and Overlord of Gonja to the Palace.
The framed photos of Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto (I) designed and printed by IB Multi Media Productions in Accra was received by the Yagbonwura’s Spokesperson Benkrowura Saaka Seidu Bakari on 3rd April, 2023.
Mahama Haruna who was a Member of the Media/Communications and Promotion of the Enskinment and Outdooring of the Yagbonwura Bii- Kunuto (I) explained that the Yagbonwura has been receiving visitors from all walks of life at his temporal Palace and that the Hall of the Palace need some big photos to decorate and let it loom nice.
He said the donation of the framed photos is his widows might and called on all sons and Daughters of Gonja to also in their own way do something to help uplift the Yagbonwura King the status he deserves.
Meanwhile Mahama Haruna also pledged to seek for assistance from other Sons and Daughters of Gonjaland to produce more (20×24 inches) framed photos of Yagbonwura to decorate all the walls of the temporal Palace of the Yagbonwura.
The Jakpa Palace which is the official residence of all Kings of Gonja (Yagbonwura’s) is currently undergoing some renovation works. When completed Mahama Haruna further pledged to help decorate the Palace with big framed photos of all Yagbonwura’s since 1912, all Kingmakers of the Gonja Kingdom, all Elders or Councillors of the Yagbnowura’s Palace and Prominent Queenmothers of the Gonja Kingdom.
