Dream for Gonjaland a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) gives public lectures on volunteering and it’s importance to some selected Junior High and Senior High schools within the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba district on 28th February, 2023.

Mr Alhassan Haruna, the founder of Dream for Gonjaland and a grandson of the late Yagbonwura Kurabaso said, he is in the Savannah region to serve his people with his organization.

According to Mr Haruna, his team is in the Savannah region to work on developmental issues.

He indicated that, his team will be in various selected Junior High and Senior High schools to talk on volunteering and it’s importance to the youth in the 21st century

Mr Haruna added “as we go round visiting schools all we do is to talk to the students and their staff on volunteering and it’s importance”

Mr Haruna mentioned that, apart from moving from school to school they as an organization will be speaking to the students as well as
recruit volunteers who are interested in joining the organization.

According to Mr Haruna, the NGO will be adopting the Makuma Health center in Bole district
to maintain and keep it clean and will be working on the Lodina Mahama children’s ward in the Bole district hospital with their volunteers to keep it clean all the time.

Mr Haruna said the Cemetery for the Yagbonwuras in Makuma will be maintain from time to time.
