The Savannah Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr Mohammed Issah has on behalf of the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Damongo Constituency and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Hon Samuel Abu Jinapor donated a brand new Toyota Hilux Pick-up and five new motorbikes to the Salaga South Constituency in the Savannah Region.
At a brief handing over ceremony on 8th August, 2022, Mr Mohammed Issah who was in the company of other Regional Executives of the NPP in a speech during the presentation said the donation is in fulfilment of a promise made to all the seven constituencies in the Savannah Region by the Damongo Constituency lawmaker is aimed at enhancing the effective day-to-day operations of the party’s activities in solidifying the grounds in reclaiming the Salaga South constituency seat that the party marginally lost in the 2020 general elections.
He added that the donation is also aimed at facilitating the work of the Executives especially in remote parts of the Constituency to propagate the monumental heights chalked by the NPP led Government.
The Salaga South Constituency Executives and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for East Gonja Mr Richard Broni thanked the Damongo MP for coming to the aid of the constituency.
Mr Broni said the constituency is overwhelmed at the continues kind gesture of the MP and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and assured the Savannah Regional executives that the timely donation will go a long way to ameliorate efforts by the party in the Region in accomplishing the party’s crusade of breaking the 8 as the campaign for 2024 gets intense.
The East Gonja MCE used the opportunity to admonish the party in the Constituency to rather work in unison with the donation than divide themselves.
The Salaga South Constituency has become the fifth constituency out of the seven constituencies in the region to receive the pickup vehicles among other resources from the Damongo legislature.
Mr Issah on behalf of the Savannah Regional Chairman of the party, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana Kalamonia and the entire Regional Executive Committee also conveyed the party’s heartiest appreciation to the lands and natural resources Minister for his continues support for the party in the Savannah Region.
