The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Damongo Constituency of the Savannah Region and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Hon Samuel Abu Jinapor has donated some assorted food items to three pre-tertiary educational institutions in Damongo in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region on Friday 22nd July 2022

The gesture, forms part of measures to assist the students in their feeding and also to make them feel happy and also feel at home, in order to create a conducive learning atmosphere for effective teaching and learning in the beneficiary schools.

The beneficiary institutions include the Damongo Senior High School which received; 20 Bags of Maize, 30 bags of rice, 10 gallons of cooking oil and 2 bulls.

Ndewura Jakpa Senior High school also in Damongo equally received 15 bags of maize, 20 bags of rice, 10 gallons of cooking and 1 bull.

The St Anne’s Girl’s Senior High School also received 10 bags of maize, 15 bags of rice, 10 gallons of cooking oil and a bull.

The food Items donated totals 65 bags of rice, 35 bags of maize, 4 bulls, 30 gallons of vegetable cooking oil amongst others.

The Damongo Constituency Executives of the NPP led by the Constituency Chairman, the Secretary, Organizer, Nasara coordinator and the Deputy Organizer made the donations on behalf of the MP.

In a speech the NPP Secretary for the Damongo Constituency Mr Kadiri Abdul- Rahaman said the students were dear to the MP’s heart as they formed the cream of professionals to administer affairs of the municipality and the nation as a whole in the not too distant future. He advised the students to be focused on their studies and not allow anything to distract them.

The Constituency Chairman Alhaji Adam Braimah in his brief speech on behalf of the MP adviced the students to learn hard as their Exams is far approaching.

He added that more of those support will continue as far as the MP is concern.

The students and teachers were overly excited by the kind gesture of the Hon MP and showered praises and prayers for him for his constant support to them.
