Former President John Dramani Mahama has organised the annual iftar (breaking of the fast) for the Muslims in Bole on 29th April, 2022. In attendance was the Chief Imam of Bole Alhaji Iddrisu Mohammed, heads of Muslim clans on Bole, women and youth.
The Ifar which took place at the Bole Central Mosque had the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bole Bamboi- constituency Alhaji Yussif Sulemana and Executives of the the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bole-Bamboi constituency representing the former President.
Speaking at the Bole Central Mosque, the MP Alhaji Yussif Sulemana said it was the wish of former President John Dramani Mahama to be part of the Iftar but other challenges have denied his presence hence instructing him to organise the Iftar for Muslims in Bole on his behalf.
Alhaji Yussif Sulemana said when of Ramadan month began, John Dramani Mahama distributed bags of sugar to the Mallams and leaders of the Muslim Clans in Bole and has also shared rice to selected Mallams and heads of Muslim clans in Bole.
The MP for Bole said former President, John Dramani Mahama will definitely declare his intention to contest the Presidential Primaries of the NDC and so cold be the 2024 Presidential candidate of NDC and so seeks the blessings to be successful in the elections.
He said former President John Dramani Mahama has been grateful for the support of the people Bole-Bamboi constituency since his days as their MP and is still seeking for their prayers and support.
According to the MP former President John Dramani said that it is the general believe that the NDC party and he (John Mahama) were cheated during the 2020 elections but he believes it is the wish of God and by God’s will, success will be his and the NDC party in 2024
Alhaji Yussif Sulemana also solicited the Chief Imam and Mallams to pray for him for long life as he will be contesting for the position MP for the Bole- Bamboi constituency in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
Alhaji Mohammed Shaibu Timtey led the Mallams present for the prayers after the Iftar and said former President John Dramani Mahama has been blessed by God and that gives him the wisdom of understanding and not forgetting the people of Bole whenever it is necessary.
