The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Yapei-Kusawgu constituency of the Savannah Region Bon John Abdulai Jinapor has on 8th February, 2022 distributed funds to one hundred (100) students financially to pay fees and other academic expenses as part of his efforts to improve access to education and human resource development for his constituents.

A three-member Committee, chaired by Mr Iddi Latif, Headmaster of Yapei D/A Junior High School, carefully selected beneficiaries from the five traditional areas in the constituency.

Madam Veronica Tampour Kuupol (Mrs), Director of Education for Central Gonja District, who oversaw the disbursement, praised the MP for his dedication to improving the district’s educational standards. She also thanked the committee for ensuring that the physically challenged were not left out.

Mr Alankpari Habib, a physically challenged student at the University of Cape Coast and a recipient of the fund, spoke on behalf of the students and expressed his gratitude to the MP for his kind gesture. He expressed gratitude to the MP and urged other stakeholders to continue to support students.

According to him, the assistance will help them pay their fees while also easing the burden on their parents.
