The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Damongo Constituency and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor has on 5th February, 2022 embarked on the inspection of ongoing development projects in the Damongo township of the Savannah Region.

The minister who is in the constituency as part of his monthly tour of the area visited the ongoing construction site of the Damongo astro turf which according to Mr Albert Addo of Blaze Investment Limited the contractor incharge of the project, would be completed in the next three months.

Hon. Jinapor assured the contractor of all the necessary support from his office and urged him to make sure the project is completed in the stipulated time for the people of the Damongo Constituency to use.

The Damongo Constituency MP also visited the inspected ongoing asphalt overlay works on roads within the Damongo township.

The overlay works forms part of President Akuffo Addo’s year of roads initiative of which Damongo is benefiting a 15km of inner roads and a 4.1km of the Fufulso-Damongo- Sawla highway also benefiting from the asphalt overlay initiative by the government.

1.7 centimeter thickness of asphalt is being added to the already existing asphalt according to the MP will give a facelift to roads in other to enhance the socio-economic growth and development of the Damongo.

Hon. Jinapor also at the site interacted with the contractor and assured him of his support.

Hon Jinapor made a brief stop to also inspect the site of the construction of the construction of the an ultramodern 300 seater capacity Damongo Community Center with offices and other facilities attached where work is expected to kick start anytime soon and again assured the contractor of his full support.
