The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and Member of Parliament (MP) for the Damongo Constituency, Hon Samuel Abu Jinapor has made available cash to aid constituencies as they hold their annual conferences.
Hon Jinapor has given Five Thousand Ghana Cedis (ghc 5,000.00) to each constituency and Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis (ghc 10, 000.00) to the regional party.
Speaking to Bole based Nkilgi FM’s morning show on 25th August, 2021, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Regional Secretary for the
Savannah Region Mr Haruna Iddrisu said Article 7 Clause 27 demands that all Constituencies of the party hold Annual Constituency delegates conferences and so from 21st to 28th August, 2021 all Constituencies will fulfill this Constituential requirement.
He said there are expenses like transportation, food and others that the Constituencies will incur and the assistance from the Damongo MP will go a long way to help in successful Constituency delegates conferences.
Mr Haruna Iddrisu disclosed that other leading members of the NPP that have assisted include the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Water Company, Dr Braimah Clifford as well as the Vice-President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia.
He added that; “the support will hugely impact positively on the conferences across our region”.
Mr Iddrisu in another statement said; “The Regional Chairman, Alhaj Sulemana Iddrisu (Professor Kalamonia) wishes to express his gratitude to the venerable MP for his continuous support to party activities”.
