The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Daboya- Mankarigu Constituency of the Savannah Region Hon. Shaibu Mahama Obey donated an assortment of protective logistics and detergents including ‘Veronica buckets’, liquid soap, hand sanitizers and educative posters to his constituents on Sunday 29th March, 2020.

The Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Daboya-Mankarigu Constituency Abdulai Sulemana in a statement said the first recipients of the materials were the health facilities across the constituency meant to augment the preparation of the Ghana Health Service in these challenging times, 
Other recipients of the MP’s geature were the Palace of the Paramount Chief of the Wasipe Traditional Area, the District offices of the Ghana Education Service, key market centers, butcher shops, Youth bases, Tailoring shops and households.

The package was presented on behalf of the MP by the Constituency chairman of the NDC, Alhaji Yahaya Mohammed Mutala together with other executives and the two Assemblymen of Daboya township. 

“In due course, all public areas and commercial centres will be beneficiaries of this package by the Hon. Member of Parliament; the NDC Communication  Officer said.

The MP’s entourage also engaged the beneficiary groups emphasizing on the preventive measures outlined by the Ghana Health Service.

Constituents were advised to take the precautionary measures seriously as that is the surest way to prevent the contraction and spread of the deadly covid- 19.

The beneficiary groups expressed their utmost gratitude to the MP for his timely intervention.
