The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Salaga South Constituency of the Savannah Region and Savannah Regional Minister Hon Salifu Adam Braimah on 21st March 2020 visited women groups in the Kulaw area of East Gonja Municipality to monitor progress on an initiative dubbed; “The MP’s Women Entrepreneurship Training Program”.

The programme is expected to empower women and make them economically viable to complement the efforts of their husbands in managing their homes especially during the dry season. 
The trainer Mr. Sulemana M Tanko, expressed his excitement on the speed at which the women are leaning. “I have been contacted by the Savannah Regional Minister to train the women on how to make Cake soap, Azumah blows, handwash soap, bar soap, body pomade, hair pomade, Akumadada, Detoxicants, Hair shampoo and hair conditioner in about five (5) communities including Tarekpa, Abrumase, Kegbatito, Kenyane and Gyamtuto.

Uncle Sally as the MP is affectionately called by his constituents, tasked the various group leaders to as a matter of urgency form sub groups to enable him assist them with a startup capital so they can immediately start making gains from the skill they have acquired. 

“I have always maintained that my purpose in politics is to make life much better for all, and since development is a process I want to assure you all that I will do everything humanly possible to address all our developmental needs”; the MP added. 
Hon. Salifu Adam Braimah took some time out to educate them on the precautionary measures of staying safe from COVID-19. He encouraged them to use the liquid soaps they manufactured to regularly wash their hands under running water. 

The MP was accompanied by the Municipal Chief Executive for the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region Mr Mohammed Tamimu and some constituency executives.
