The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bole- Bamboi Constituency has said that Fulanis in the Constituency who are qualified to register in the ongoing Registration exercise should be allowed to register adding that “the wife of the Vice- President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is a Fulani but will be allowed to register because she is Ghanaian”.
According to the MP there are many Fulanis born and grew up in the Savannah Region who are now part of the area and so it will be wrong to stop them from registering as some people are making attempts to do.
Alhaji Yusif Sulemana also said there are many people from the Bole resident in the Bouna area of Cote d’Ivoire who should have crossed to the Bole District in Ghana to register but said they cannot come because the borders are closed and soldiers are also at the main entry point between the Bole District in Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire at Chache. He called on Ghanaians in Cote d’Ivoire not to attempt crossing in order not to run into problems.
Alhaji Yusif Sulemana said the 2020 Parliamentary elections in the Bole-Bamboi Constituency is not between Gonjas and Lobis in the Constituency. He said the Parliamentary elections in the Bole-Bamboi is between Alhaji Yusif Sulemana and David Sei Demah and so the people should look between them and compare their abilities and capabilities and vote accordingly. The Bole MP called on all those from the galamsey sites in the Bole- Bamboi Constituency to come and register.
The MP for Bole-Bamboi Constituency Alhaji Yusif Sulemana made these comments when he stormed Bole based Nkilgi FM with his counterpart from the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency Hon Andrews Dari Chiwetey on a widely listened weekend programme dubbed “Hot Issues”.
The two MP’s took their time to educate the public on all they need to know about the Electoral Commission’s ew voter Registration exercise including the latest updates and issues in the Bole-Bamboi and Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituencies and as well answered relevant questions from the public.
The MP for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency Hon Chiwetey associated himself with the comment from the Bole MP that those with their descent from countries in the Sahelian region like Mali and Niger but who are qualified to register to do so.

said there are are two Zambarima’s in Ghana’s Parliament now and wonders why Zambarima’s in the Savannah Region and other areas will be stopped from registering.
