The National Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Madam Hanna Louisa Bissiw has described the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice- President Dr Alhaji Bawumia as a fake Muslim who should not be taken serious.
Addressing the Damongo Constituency NDC Women’s wing at the weekend at the Damongo lorry park, Madam Hannah Bissiw indicated that every true Muslim who has done fasting during the this month of Ramadan and can afford like Dr Bawumia is in Saudi Arabia for Umrah during the last days of the month.
He said in the case of Dr Bawumia, he and his wife Samira are in Ghana attending Easter Conventions from one Church to the other.
She added that Dr Bawumia is only faking and thus the Muslim community should ignore his lies.
The NDC National Women’s Organiser again mentioned that the cost of travelling to Mecca for prospective pilgrims in the country is trippling on yearly basis which former President John Dramani Mahama will surely review. He said former President John Dramani Mahama built the International Airport in the Northern part of Ghana to enables pilgrims to fly directly to Saudi Arabia without stress. She therefore advocated for more votes for the NDC Flagbearer John Dramani Mahama in this years election.
Meanwhile, the North East Region NDC Women’s organiser, Madam Salifu Ligbi Sumaya in an address reminded the people of the Savannah Region that the defeat of Dr Bawumia will surely start at his own backyard since everyone is crying because of the high cost of living at the Northeast Region.
Madam Sumaya said even the cost of exercise books for school children has quadruple under the NPP with Dr Bawumia having nothing to show for the past 8 years in his home region.
She reminded them that majority of the people of her region are clamouring for the comeback of John Dramani Mahama which the Savannah Region must work extra hard for him to secure 100% votes.
