The Member of Parliament (MP) for Yapei-Kusawgu Hon John Abdulai Jinapor has provided 150 bags of rice and 1,000 bags of cement for distribution to communities affected by the recent flooding in the Central Gonja District.
The distribution, which is being led by the NDC constituency chairman, will involve visits to all the affected communities along the volta River.
In a related development, the Hon. Jinapor held very fruitful meetings with officials of the Red Crescent to discuss modalities on further support of aid to the affected communities.
Officials of the Red Crescent are expected to visit the Central Gonja District to provide additional support on the coming days.
