Brother of the late Emmanuel Alhasaan who was allegedly killed through the nailing of a 6 inches nail into his head has hinted that the family will go at all length to find justice for the deceased.

Late Emmanuel Alhasaan

Yussif Alhassan, an elder brother of the deceased, narrated to Bole based Nkilgi FM that the boy was accused of stealing GHc 30,000 from a mobile money vendor and was forcibly taken to a nearby primary school located around the Ghana Education Services where the nailing took place.

He said the boy was brought back to the streets and subjected to more beatings only to be rescued by some police officers who were passing by.

The Police according to Mr Alhassan never knew of the nail in his head until the following morning when the boy was showing signs of weakness and was quickly rushed to the Damongo hospital where he was referred to the Tamale Teaching Hospital but he unfortunately died hours later with the nail still in his head.

The body was prepared for burial yesterday 16th January, 2024 with the grave put in place only for the police to stop the burial processes for the body to be sent back to Tamale for autopsy before the burial.

The body has since been sent back to Tamale with the grave covered whilst waiting for it to be brought back to Damongo.

Meanwhile, Yussif Alhassan has disclosed that two persons have been arrested whilst investigations are still ongoing.
