The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Damongo Constituency and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Hon Samuel Abu Jinapor has assured Market Women and Traders that the Damongo Weekly will be ready soon.

Addressing market women and Traders at the Damongo Canteen market, Hon Jinapor assured the women that the contractor incharge of the Damongo weekly market is very hardworking and will complete the project as early as possible for them to move back.

He said the market after its completion will have a lot of facilities including toilets, offices and so on for the comfort of traders adding that the women should exercise some amount of restraint for the completion of the project.

The Damongo MP warned that those trying to politicise the market issues in the constituency should desist from that since the market will go a long way to serve both the NDC and the NPP including all tribes irrespective of one’s religious background.

He added that he is in Parliament because of the massive support he received from women of the Damongo Constituency and will attach all seriousness to make sure their needs and concerns are addressed.

Hon Jinapor also assured them that he has put together a team to compile the names of all the traders in the market for him to support them financially with the little available resources he has even though many countries is currently not doing well in terms of their resources.

Earlier, the Damongo Constituency MP visited the Saturday market which is under construction and interacted with the workers.

He also visited the Damongo everyday market in the center of town which some of the market folks are currently using as the weekly Saturday market.
