The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bole-Bamboi Constituency, Hon Alhaji Yusif Sulemana who is also the vice President of the Muslim Caucus of Ghana’s Parliament has urged the Conference of Regional Chief Imams of the Ahlussunah Wal Jamaa (ASWAJ-Ghana) to use their position to impress upon the President Nana Akufo-Addo to sign the recently passed proper sexual rights and Ghanaian family values bill into law.

The MP made this appeal when he attended this year’s regional Chief Imams Conference held in Bole on the 2nd of March 2024.

The Bole MP added that the Muslim caucus in parliament will soon be calling on them and others to help fine-tune some impending bills such as the interstate succession bill which has some anti islamic clauses in them.

Alhaji Yusif Sulemana also presented a cash amount of GHc5,000 to support the conference.
