The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), former President John Dramani Mahama will pay a visit to the King and Overlord of Gonja Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale (I) on Sunday 25th February, 2024 at Damongo, capital of the Savannah Region.
Confirming this, an Aide and son of the Yagbonwura called Alhaji Issah Bakari.speaking on behalf the Yagbonwura’s Palace called on all Paramount Chiefs of Gonja, Queenmothers, Muslim Clans and traditional people to be at Yagbonwura’s Palace to welcome former President John Dramani Mahama who is a son of the land.
Alhaji Issah disclosed that Yagbonwura will welcome his son (former President John Dramani Mahama) aspires to occupy the highest office of Ghana other Paramount Chiefs.
The Former President and the 2024 Presidential candidate of NDC, will be at tbe Yagbonwura’s Palace with leading members of the NDC. He expected to to ‘ourdoor’ his campaign team to the Yagbonwura going into the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections in the Savannah Region and as well inform the Yagbonwura and Chiefs of Gonja his development plans for the Savannah Region as President come to 2025.
