The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Damongo Constituency and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Hon Samuel Abu Jinapor has assured the rank and file of the NPP that he is more than fired up to retain the Damongo seat.

Speaking during his popular acclamation after going unopposed for the second time in the recent parliamentary primaries held across the country, the Damongo on Saturday 17th February, 2023 MP said he will make sure he chases every vote in the constituency.

He went further to mention some of his achievements which he said were some of the promises he made to the people prior to his election in 2020 including extension of rural electrification projects,provision of drinking portable drinking water across the constituency, support for women, support for farmers, asphalting the Damongo township roads, creating of more roads inner roads in the Damongo township,
educational support, construction of two astro turf pitches in Damongo and Larabanga with the construction of the 3rd one ongoing in Busunu among many things.

On the Damongo water project, the Damongo MP assured his constituents that work will commenced soon for water to flow in Damongo.

He said the cheque has been issued to the contractor just last week by the managing director of the Ghana water company, Dr Eng. Clifford Braimah to commence work on the water project

Hon Jinapor thanked the delegates and the rank and file of the party for standing solidly behind him always which he said he will never disappoint the people of Damongo and beyond.

The Savanah Regional Minister Saeed Jibril Muhazu in an address to the delegates said the Damongo Constituency will surely increase the voter margin for the NPP and contribute significantly in breaking the 8. He said the Damongo Constituency since it’s inception has never had an MP like Samuel Abu Jinapor which every body must be proud of.

He said the NPP in the Damongo Constituency is always ready for healthy competitions going into elections 2024 since at the end of the day everyone will see who will cross the river.

”Why will the MP bring a water tanker to serve his constituents and it has become competition on the otherside?”, he asked.

He said the NPP is halfway gone in the constituency and will take the NDC to go back to match them in every thing in the constituency adding that the last election saw them beat the NDC with 2,300 votes which will be increased to 7,000-10,000 in 2024.

He mentioned that three things wins elections and that includes the personality of the candidates, resources and time which the the NPP parliamentary stands tall comparing him to his main opponent.

Mr Adam Braimah, NPP Damongo constituency chairman also in an address said the Damongo MP has made history for the second time by going unopposed all because of his hardwork in the constituency.

He pleaded for unity in the party in the constituency since that will make it very easy for them to retain the seat.

Several other speakers including the MP for Bantama Constituency and minister designate for Roads and Transport Hon. Francis Asenso Boakye, the Minister designate for Information Madam Abubakari Fatimatu among others took time to address the delegates who gathered for the acclamation of the Damongo MP at the Damongo community center.
