The Gonjaland Youth Association- Greater Accra branch has slated Saturday, 18th November, 2023, for it’s annual fun games at the Abelemkpe Community Astro Turf in Accra with many citizens of Gonjaland making donations.
The Organiser of the Greater Accra Gonjaland Youth Association Mr Manful-wura Issahaku John disclosed that, the
Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and Member of Parliament (MP) for the Damongo Constituency Samuel Abu Jinapor has donated a cash amount of Ghc 5,000.00 to the Greater Accra branch of the Gonjaland Youth Association in support of the annual Gonjaland Association Fun Games.
The donation was received by the Chairman of the Association, Lawyer Nashiru Yussif and himself the Organizer, Manful-wura Issahaku John.
Meanwhile, the Managing Director for Ghana Water Company Limited, Ing. Dr. Clifford A Braimah has also donated a cash amount of GHc5,000.00. and 100 packs of bottle Water in support of the Greater Accra Gonjaland Youth Association Annual Fun Games.
The finance committee Chairperson Madam Lawuratu Musah Saaka received the donation on behalf of the Association.
Madam Lawuratu Musah Saaka on her part donated GHc5,000.
Manful-wura Issahaku John added that, Ing. Alhassan Sumani from from Bole also gave the cash of GHc 3,000 with Prof. Ahmed Abdulai Jinapor donating a cash amount of Ghc2,000 in support of the program. Organiser, Manful-wura Issahaku received the donation on behalf of the Association.
Also, the National Gonjaland Youth Association President, Mr Amin Mohammed Osman donated a Bull in support of the occasion for the organisers to use it to prepare kebab for members.
The MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan took the cost of the Astro Turf, food, chairs and canopies in support of the program
The Greater Accra Chairman of the Gonjaland Youth Association Lawyer Nashiru on behalf of the association thanked all the donors for their support.
The Organiser, Manful-wura Issahaku John also called on all the Members of Parliament in the Savannah Region to come together and work as a team to develop the region and as well as be available at the venue Abelemkpe Community Astro Turf to support the fun games and foster unity, peace and development among Gonjalanders.
