The Municipal Ambulance Service Head of the West Gonja Municipality, EMT Gideon Antwi has commended the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Damongo Constituency and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor for donating a cash amount of Twenty Thousand cedis (GHc20,000) towards the maintenance of the grounded ambulance vehicle in the West Gonja Municipality.

The Ambulance has been out of use for almost a year today.

EMT Gideon Antwi who received the cash amount on behalf of the National Ambulance Service indicated that his outfit is very grateful to the Damongo MP for making sure the vehicle is repaired to cater for emergency cases in the Damongo municipality.

He said; ”We must admit that there’s a lot on the head of the MP but for the importance he attached to human life, he has found it necessary to make this huge donation. In fact we are indebted to him”; he said.

EMT Gideon Antwi assured MP that We want that the GHC 20,000.00 given for the maintenance of the ambulance will be used for that purpose to serve our people of the municipality.

He added;
“We shall always remember you in our prayers”.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairman for the Damongo Constituency, Alhaji Adam Braimah who donated the money on behalf of Hon Abu Jinapor indicated that quality health delivery is one of the major priorities of the MP who upon hearing the state of the vehicle, quickly mobilized the cash amount towards the maintenance and repair works of the vehicle.

Still in Damongo, the NPP constituency Chairman has disclosed that the water tanker donated by the MP is expected to provide free water for the constituents whilst the ongoing Damongo water project in Broto takes shape.

He said the tanker will supply water for free to the inhabitants with the member of Parliament taking up the cost.
