The Assemblyman for Sawla town Kawurbi Electoral area of the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of Savannah region Hon Alhaji Abdulai Mohammed on 18th April, 2023 donated qunatotues of rice, oil, tomatoes, makerel and other items to the less privilege in his electoral area.
The gesture is to help them celebrate the upcoming end of Ramadan feast for Muslims.
He said, “As a leader once they have elected you the best you can do for your electoral area is to look for developments for your electoral area.”
Hon Alhaji Abdulai Mohammed added that, his electoral area has a lot of widows, and the less privilege people who can not afford anything for themselves within this Ramadan and Sallah period hence his concern to donate the little he has.
He mentioned that ever since he became an Assembly member his efforts were to organize workshop trainings to equip the Young men and women with hands work so that they can also start making a living on their own without depending on anyone or going wayward. He said,he had people who came to trained them and now some of the young men and women are into soap making, bags making. beads making, decorations, whiles others learn all kind of designs for glass doors and windows and that is the job creation he has brought to Kawurbi electoral area.
The Assemblyman for Sawla Kawurbi Electoral Area said, every fasting season is always a month for donations for someone to give or extend a helping hand to another who can’t afford for them to also clean their sorrow.
He said; “it’s left with some few days to go to buy rice, oil, tomatoes, makerel and many more that can be use for cooking on sallah day to eat with the family as some have lost their husbands and some can not also provide for themselves and these are the people I’m always looking out for to also put a smile on their faces”
He thanked and prayed for his partners who supported him to bring such a program to a success.
Hon Alhaji Abdulai Mohammed thanked Bole based Nkilgi Fm for alwaya covering and supporting him in his donation exercises which he has been embarking on ever since four years that the people of Sawla Kawurbi electoral area voted him to represent them as an Assemblyman.
