The Center for Active Leaning and Integrated Development (CALID) has donated Personal Protective Equipments (PPE’s) to some selected schools in the Sawla Tuna Kalba District of the Savannah Region on 14th April, 2021.

Speaking to Bole based nkilgi fm in an interview during the presentation, Mr Banyiye Collins who is the Project Officer of the Center for Active Leaning and Integrated Development for North East and Savannah Region said their aim in the Sawla Tuna Kalba District is to donate PPEs to some selected schools. He added that, they will enbak on an awareness creation campaign in some communities in the Sawla Tuna Kalba District to erase the fears of people on the covid 19 vaccine.

He said they will also undertake a lot of radio talk shows to enable them reached the general public.

The PPEs includes, branded Center for Active Leaning and Integrated Development face marks, disposable face marks, hand sanitizers and gallons of liquid soap.

The Sawla Girls Model School, Sawla Children Home, among other schools were the beneficiary schools. Each school received one hundred and twenty (120) branded Center for Active Leaning and Integrated Development face marks, three hundred (300) disposable face marks, hand sanitizers and gallons of liquid soap.

Mr Collins acknowledge OXFAM for supporting them financially to enable them provide food items and PPEs to some needy Women and schools since the outbreak of covid last year.

Mr Thomas Tepeltey who is the assistant Headmaster of Sawla Girls Model thanked the donors for the kind gesture. He pledged that they will put the items in good use.
