The King and Overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, Yagbonwura Tuntumba Boresa (I) has assured former President John Dramani Mahama of his prayer and support for all his endeavours.
This came to light after former President John Mahama had a closed door meeting with the Yagbonwura at the Jakpa Palace in Damongo for about fouty (40) minutes on 14th June, 2020.
Even though there is no official statement after the close door meeting, a source in Damongo disclosed to Bole based Nkilgi FM that Yagbonwura Tuntumba commended former President John Dramani Mahama for his humility and also urged him to continue to work for peace and unity in Ghana.
Former President John Dramani was in the Savannah Region on 14th June, 2020.
On his arrival in Savannah Region, his first point of call was at Busunu where prayers were said for his mother the late Hajia Nnaba.
At Bole he visited the grave Yard of his father the late Father E.A Mahama which he observes each time he is at Bole.
After the visit to the grave yard of the late Father of the Former President and the prayers been said, his next visit was to be at Mandari for the funeral of her late aunty Hajia Fati Jinga’s but the number of people gathered were more than hundred (100) people and so he advisedly decided not to go to the funeral grounds.
The former Presidents last point of visit was Damongo where he visited the Yagnonwura and also a former Damongo Constituency NDC Chairman Alhaji Mprah Fuseini who is currently on a sickbed in his home.
