An IT expert and businessman Samuel Aboagyy has emerged as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the Obuasi East Constituency in the Ashanti Region beating Hajia Rahina Bintu Saana formerly of Radio Gold.
Samuel polled 354 votes whilst his contender polled 322 votes.
Samuel Aboagye who was born in Damongo in the Savannah Region has almost all members of his family belonging to NPP except him who joined the NDC partly because of his love for former President John Dramani Mahama.
Speaking to Bole based Nkilgi Fm Samuel Aboagye said Ghanaians are wide awake and cannot be deceived by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) any longer. He said the NDC government under former President John Dramani Mahama has done a lot for Ghanaians.
Mr Aboagye thanked delegates in his constituency for the confidence they have in him and pledged to work very hard towards victory 2020 in leading the Constituency to snatch the seat from the NPP.
He also prayed for unity since that is the only tool in winning the seat for the NDC.
Mr Aboagye further urged his constituents to make sure John Mahama is voted massively for since the wind of change is blowing each passing day in Ghana.
Meanwhile, the elder brother of the Obuasi East NDC Parliamentary candidate Nana Kwame Aboagye has said that his younger brother is lost and wasting his money on a party that cannot win.
Nana Kwame who was a former NPP Constituency Chairman for the Damongo Constituency promised to work extra hard to make sure NPP snatches for seats in the Savannah Region.
