A group known as Forum for Accountability and Justice (FAJ) based in the Savannah Regional capital of Damongo has served notice to the Savannah regional Police commander to embark on a peaceful demonstration and the date scheduled for the demonstration is this coming Friday 19th July, 2019 inside Damongo.
It will be recalled there were media reports last week that a Toyota Pickup with registration number WR 3516-19 belonging to the Savannah Regional Coordinating council was allegedly missing in Tamale.
The Toyota Hilux was part of the vehicles presented by President Akufo-Addo when he cut sod for the construction of the Regional Coordinating Council building in Damongo.

West Gonja District, the DCE West Gonja District Assembly, the
Yagbonwura and others served notice of their intention to embark on a
peaceful demonstration on the principal streets of Damongo-Savannah
Regional Capital.
The letter signed by the lead convener of the group Issifu Seidu Kudus Gbeadese said the protest is against the leadership of the SRCC and it’s allied institutions over the strange circumstances that led to the stealing of a Toyota Hilux with registration number WR 3516-19, meant for the SRCC.
Speaking to Bole based Nkilgi Fm, the lead convener of the group Issifu Seidu Kudus Gbeadese said the circumstances under which the pickup got missing or stolen is bizarre and so the public need explanation. He said everyone is not happy because the situation is so embarrassing to everyone in the Savannah Region and so well meaning Youth including those from all political parties should prepare and come onto the streets in their numbers for the demonstration.
