A statement issued by Kipo Elijah Bakar on 13th May, 2020 said it was rather the Chief of Tuna, Alhaji Isaac Mumuni Dramani with the support of certain individuals in Tuna, assisted by the assembly members of Tuna West and East, Mr. Adams Hudu and Mwangu Lempogu (Mbii) that worked on the Ambulance for the Tuna Community.
Kipo Elija Bakar said the good people of Tuna including Shopkeepers, market women, groups and traders that contributed cash for the renting of accommodation, renovation of the office, lorry fares and erecting of a pavilion or a garage before the Ambulance was handed over to Tuna.
“A lot of work went behind scenes, even when the ambulance was released it delayed in Damango for almost two weeks due to the struggle for identity within the political class of the government until it was finally brought to Tuna on Monday, 11th May, 2020”, the NDC Communication officer said.
Kipo Elijah said the Savannah Regional administrator of the Natonal Ambulance Service, Mr. Techi Musah commended and recognised the tireless efforts of the people of Tuna and reminded them to build a peaceful working environment for the staff of the Ambulance Service.
Mr Kipo said they recognise the fact that the ambulances were procured by the government but the NPP parliamentary candidate for Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency did absolutely nothing in getting an Ambulance for the people of Tuna.
