The Ghana National Association of Small-Scale Miners (GNASSM), Bole zone have extended their warmest congratulations to the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bole-Bamboi Constituency and the Parliament approved Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Hon Alhaji Yussif Sulemana on his appointment and approval as the Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources.
A statement signed by the Secretary the Secretary of GNASSM in the Bole zone Mr Mahama Tahiru stated; “Your appointment is a testament to your invaluable hard work and commitment to public service”.
The statement from Bole zone of GNASSM added; “We are thrilled to see one of our own, an MP from the Bole area, taking on this critical role”.
It further stated; “We are optimistic that your appointment will bring about positive changes for our communities, particularly in the issuance of mining licenses”.
The statement from the GNASSM Bole zone further stated; “As you may be aware, our association has faced challenges in the past, including allegations of brutality by the former Regional Minister, (Hon Muhazu Saeed Jibril) who was accused of protecting the interests of Chinese nationals over Ghanaian miners, and also the emergence of large-scale mining companies in our various communities without engaging the chiefs and stakeholders”.
It added, “We hope that your leadership will address these concerns and promote sustainable mining practices in the Bole area.
The statement concluded by saying; “Once again, congratulations on your well-deserved appointment, Hon. Yussif Sulemana Ori. We wish you all the best in your new role and eagerly anticipate the impact of your leadership on our mining industry”.
