The Managing Director of the National Investment Bank (NIB), Chief Dr. Doliwura Zakaria has over the weekend paid a courtesy call on the King and Overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale (I) on 9th March, 2025.
The visit was to formally inform the Yagbonwura of his appointment as Managing Director of NIB by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.
Chief Doliwura who himself is a royal, indicated that he deemed it necessary to seek the King’s blessings as he takes on this national responsibility.
In the spirit of the Ramadan season, he also demonstrated solidarity by presenting donations on behalf of the bank’s board, management, and staff to support the fasting period.
Having served for a decade as Chief of Staff at the palace, he described the Yagbonwura’s residence as home and pledged to remain connected to his roots.
The MD urged the youth to put first the importance of collective progress, stating, “Together, we will make Ghana a beacon of hope where everyone has a future, not just a privileged few.”
He assured that under his leadership, NIB would create employment opportunities and promote inclusivity in economic development.
