The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for the Obuasi East Constituency in the Ashanti Region Hon Samuel Aboagye has charged the people of his constituency to vote out the incumbent Member of Parliament, Dr. Patrick Boakye Yiadom and the NPP government for the poor performance in terms of development for the last 8 years in governance.
Addressing party faithfuls in Obuasi over the weekend during a healthwalk through the principal streets of Obuasi East Constituency, Hon Aboagye Samuel indicated that the wind of change is blowing across the country with the entire country clamouring for change which the Obuasi East Constituency must be part.
He mentioned unemployment and high cost of living that the entire country is suffering from including the underdevelopment of many parts of the country which the Obuasi East Constituency is part of.
He added that the game changer of the country’s fortunes is HE John Mahama who is the choice of the people of Ghana in the December polls with him as the member of parliament for the area will bring a lot of development and changes to the people of the Obuasi East Constituency.
Mr Aboagye used the opportunity to thank the leadership of the party, opinion leaders and party supporters for coming out in their numbers to join the walk.
He appealed to them to go all out in their numbers and campaign for the party by telling people about the trackrecord of the NDC Presidential Candidate, John Mahama.
“I want you all to know that the NDC is winning this election but we cannot do so when you sit at home during the election day. Go out and campaign by selling the good works of the NDC and also come out on the election day and vote massively for the party,” Hon Aboagye said.
The purpose of the walk was to foster unity among the rank and file of the party towards victory in the 2024 general elections.
