The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Damongo Constituency and New Patriotic (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate, Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor, has thrown down the gauntlet, challenging his opponents to a live parliamentary debate. He wants to discuss their visions, policies, and achievements with the people of Damongo Constituency.
Addressing hundreds of party supporters at the Zongo- Langbonto electoral area, Jinapor stated that his accomplishments in the constituency make him the clear choice for re-election. He highlighted his achievements in infrastructure, agriculture, youth employment, women empowerment, and other sectors, declaring himself unmatched even in his fourth year in Parliament.
Hon Jinapor noted that the Savannah Region has seven constituencies, with his opponents focusing on Damongo. He criticized the establishment of a radio station that only insults him, saying the people will judge based on development, not insults.
Former Damongo Constituency NPP Parliamentary Candidate and Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Exports Promotion Authority, Mr. Albert Kassim Diwura, praised Jinapor for rescuing the constituency from the NDC. He called for party unity, stating that the NDC has nothing to offer the people of Damongo.
Other speakers, including Savannah Regional Youth Organiser Mr.I Raphael Akati and Women’s Organiser Mohammed Fathia, also addressed the crowd, describing Jinapor as a messiah who deserves re-election with a wider margin in 2024.
