A team of United States of America (USA) Army and Air Force Medical Professionals led by the Savannah Regional 155 Armoured Regiment Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Philomen Hoffman visited Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale (I) at his residence on 2nd April, 2024.
The reason for their visit was to inform the King and Overlord of the Gonja Kingdom, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale (I) the medical services the team is going to provide in the Savannah Region and other parts of the country.
The leader of the team, Colonel Jennifer said the USA Army and Air Force medical professionals would be collaborating with the Ghana Air Force professionals together with the Doctors and the Nurses in Ghana to carry out this exercise. The exercise, she said would commence on 17th May, 2024.
Colonel Jennifer added that the medical team is expected to attend to more than five hundred people every day.
The team expressed their appreciation to the King and Overlord of Gonja and as well thanked him for his readiness to embrace the exercise.
Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale (I) on his part expressed his profound gratitude to the team for coming all the way from the United States of America to help the people in Ghana.
He also extended his gratitude to the government of Ghana for collaborating with the government of the United States of America to secure this opportunity for his people.
