A young man is in the custody of the Ministries Police in Accra for allegedly using Facebook to defraud unsuspecting people in the name of the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bole-Bamboi Constituency Alhaji Yussif Sulemana.

The Police in collaboration with the National Investigation Bureau made the arrest after the Bole MP lodged a complaint to the police and other security agencies on the matter.

The MP for the Bole-Bamboi Constituency has on several occasions issued several disclaimer statements on the activities of these imposters, urging the public to disregard anyone claiming to be him and promising to offer them jobs in various government agencies.

Some of these imposters even went ahead to advertise various properties in the name of Hon Yusif Sulemana to unsuspecting persons on Facebook and other social media platforms.

Also, the Bole MP has on several occasions had to refund duped constituents with various sums of money just to empathise with these individuals for their loss.

Speaking on Bole based Nkilgi Fm, Mr Tahiru Iddisah Omega the Spokesperson of the MP for the Bole-Bamboi Constituency comfirmed he arrest. He advised
The public to ignore any person claiming to be the Hon MP for Bole-Bamboi Constituency and promising to offer them jobs and auction products because he will never engage in such actions.

Tahiru Iddisah Omega said under no circumstance will the Bole MP sell a job opportunity to his constituents.

He said the Police are contnuing with their investigations to reveal all the hidden faces behind this nefarious crime against the Hole MP person and bring them all to book so the law can deal with them to serve as a deterrent to others.
