The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Damongo constituency Hon Samuel Abu Jinapor has presented a cash amount of amount of Ghc10,000 to support a young man from the Damongo Constituency who was involved in an accident and currently on admission at the Upper West Regional Hospital.
Mr Mahama Suweidu on the 8th of May 2022 was involved in an accident in Damongo when he tried to avoid a collision between a motorking he was driving with a car driven by a female police officer resulting in the accident.
The young man unfortunately lost one of his leg in the unfortunate incident and still receiving treatment.
The Damongo MP who is a regular visitor to the popular base where the young man and his colleagues sits after hearing the unfortunate incident quickly sent a delegation led by the Deputy organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Damongo constituency, Alhaji Alhassan Fuseini (Rambo) to make the donation on his behalf at the Upper West Regional Hospital last Monday, 20th June, 2022.
Alhaji Rambo explained that, the plight of the young accident victim on admission touched the heart of the MP when reports of his condition was drawn to the MP’s attention through some constituency executives of the NPP which prompted him to lend a helping hand to enable the victim cater for the medical bills being incurred while receiving treatment at the Wa regional hospital.
Madam Mariama Alidu, relative of the victim who received the cash donation on behalf of the victim expressed gratitude to the Damongo MP for the support. She added that the support will go a long way to help in settling the medical bills of the victim adding that very few people have the heart to reach out to others when they need arises and described Mr Abu Jinapor as an exceptional leader who God will continue to bless.
Mr Yussif Ewuntomah Rayan, a member and Vice-President of the youth group in Damongo (Base One) on behalf of the group, thanked the MP for the recognition and honour done them by coming to the aid of their member in a difficult time like this adding that, the group and the family are grateful to him for the support and pray that, God replenishes his support in million folds.
Mr Mahama Sawedu also thanked the MP for the support and also used the opportunity to thank the people of the Damongo especially his family and friends who have continuously prayed for him through this trying times in his life.
