The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Yapei-Kusawgu constituency of the Savannah Region Hon John Abdulai Jinapor has refurbished the Health Staff bungalow at Tuluwe to improve access to quality service delivery at the Tuluwe electoral.
This is in response to a request by the Assembly member of the area Hon Sadick Abubakar during the 2020 electioneering campaign that Health workers usually spend few days in the community to attend to their Health needs due to the dilapidated nature of their bungalow.
After a discussion with the District Health Directorate, the Hon MP decided to renovate the bungalow with his share of the NHIS allocation to provide decent accommodation for the the Health workers.
Speaking at a short ceremony to hand over the bungalow to the Health directorate on 3rd November, 2021, Hon Jinapor entreated the Health Staff to continue to provide quality services to the people of Tuluwe and its environs.
The Hon MP was particularly happy because he feels there should be no reason that providing health care in our rural communities should put workers and patients at a health risk.
According to him, plans are far advanced to provide more of such accommodations to ensure that health workers are posted permanently to Health facilities in the constituency. He mentioned that Boachipe Nurses bungalow will soon be completed and handed over to the Health directorate.
Hon John Jinapor thanked the Chiefs and elders of the community for their patience and assured them that efforts are been made to improve the standard of living of communities in respect of Health, Education, infrastructure and others meant to empower them as a people.
The Central Gonja District Director of Health Services Mr David Bukari expressed appreciation to the Hon MP for the gesture and appealed to health workers in the area to live up to expectation in the provision of health care to the people.
The Assembly member of the area Hon Sadick expressed his appreciation to the MP for listening to their plea and delivering as promised. He also thanked the Health directorate for their continuous support to the community.
