The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) is set to commence operations at its new Savannah Regional office in Bole in June 2025.

Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DVLA in charge of operations Mr. Iddisah Yeboah confirmed in an interview with Bole-based Nkilgi FM that the Bole office will serve as the main regional hub, overseeing satellite offices in Damongo, Buipe, and Salaga.

Mr. Yeboah Iddisah confirmed that the Authority’s regional office in Bole, Savannah Region, will officially begin operations on 1st June, 2025.

He stated that the new office will offer a wide range of services to residents of the area, aimed at improving accessibility and efficiency in the delivery of DVLA services.

“The Bole office will provide services including vehicle ownership transfer, change of vehicle use, registration and renewal of driver’s licenses, roadworthiness renewals, license conversion, international driving permits, license replacements, and the issuance of license cards,” he noted.

He cautioned the public against patronising unapproved agents and warned against engaging in fraudulent registration activities, which have been a challenge in the past.

“We encourage everyone to deal directly with our office to avoid falling victim to fraud. The DVLA is committed to ensuring transparency and efficiency in service delivery,” Mr. Iddisah added.

The Deputy CEO of DVLA in charge of operations Mr. Iddisah Yeboah further urged all vehicle owners and users to utilize DVLA services, stressing that compliance with the law helps promote safety and avoid penalties on the road.

Since 2015, the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has operated a satellite office in Bole, staffed by personnel from the Wa Regional Office in the Upper West Region. This arrangement was part of the DVLA’s broader initiative to extend its services to all regions of Ghana, especially in areas without permanent offices. Satellite centers were established in some areas to provide essential services like driver licensing and vehicle registration.

The establishment of the Savannah Regional office at Bole office is part of DVLA’s broader strategy to decentralize services and improve accessibility across Ghana. By establishing regional and satellite offices, the Authority aims to bring essential services closer to residents, reducing the need for long-distance travel to access vehicle and driver licensing services.
