Paramount Chief of the Buipe Traditional Area of Gonja, Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor (II) has ordered farmers in his traditional area to gundown cattle found in their farms.

Addressing chiefs and elders over the weekend in his Palace, Buipewura Jinapor indicated that all cattle belonging to Fulani heardsmen or natives of Buipewura should be properly controlled and should not be spared if found in any farm. He said several warnings have been issued but that seem ignored and the proper way to end the destruction of farm produce is to kill the animals that finds their way into people’s farms.

The Vice-President of the National House of Chiefs Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor (II) used the opportunity to further appealed to farmers to devote much of their time now to spend extra hours in their farms especially in the night to protect their farms since the animals mostly destroy farms at night.
