The former Minority Leader and Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale South Constituency Hon. Haruna Iddrisu has promised that John Dramani Mahama in his next government will give the people of Damongo water in the first 24 months.
Hon. Haruna Iddrisu made this promise during the campaign launch of the NDC in the Savannah Region in Damongo on Friday 4th October, 2024.

The Tamale South MP said he was in Parliament in 2019 when Akufu-Addo and Bawumia came and they approved 276 million Euros for the Damongo water project and till date the people of Damongo still doesn’t have water.
He asked “so what have they used the 276 millions euros for”?
The Tamale South MP said John Dramani Mahama promised to give the people of Buipe Hospital and he fulfilled by building one of the standard accident and emergency hospitals for the people of Buipe and the entire country.
He said they can’t afford to lose the Damongo seat this time because Damongo is the capital of John Dramani Mahama’s home Region and the seat must be taken back.
Hon Haruna Iddrisu urged the people of Savannah Region to vote for NDC to win all the 7 seats as he has promised John Dramani Mahama to win not less than 14 seats for the NDC in the Northern.
He further urged all NDC members in the Savannah Region to be agents to reset Ghana as the country is been collapsed by Akufo-Addo and his appointees.
He said Nana Akufo-Addo and Bawumia doesn’t accept responsibility and needs to be votered out of power.
Hon Haruna Iddrisu stated; “When things are good Bawumia takes credit but now things are bad, he doesn’t want to take responsibility. So vote them out and bring John Dramani Mahama for accountability”.
